There has been a lot of work on the game throughout September. Starting with sunsets, now as a day is ending there will be a purple hue over the world to signify a sunset and that night is coming it also makes the shadows fading away more subtle and the transition to night a lot smoother. The original game lacked any transition and it just became night and that isn't what was wanted for its sequel. There has also been work on the boss fight system and the first boss is nearing completion and once completed the framework for the others will be in place and it will be easy to create them. There has also been ai changes to the creatures and enemies in the world. The release date is early 2026, the studio wanted the game out for November 2025 which would have been just over a year of development time which was thought to be enough but after deciding the final scope for the game and the features wanted it wasn't possible while continuing to promise quality to be finished this year. However this gives more time to refine the game and make it what it was envisioned to be. There will be multiplayer on release but after the test with the original game it has been decided it isn't viable  and doesn't work for the game in the base survival mode which is why there will be a boss rush multiplayer mode but no survival multiplayer for now but this may change down the road of development but for now this is what has been decided. As mentioned previously the updates for the original were tests for what might work in the sequel such as different biomes and  multiplayer so expect things like the tropics update (The largest post release development of How Long ?) to be just one of many parts of the game.
