How Long? 2 Devlog

A lot has been done to the game over October mainly visual related. Water has been a major focus of this visual work as now it has moving waves and reacts to the world like reflecting the night sky which has all been optimized to run  low end hardware which brings us to the next thing being worked on which is the settings which has been difficult but necessary to make with things such as global volume control being quite easy but having different graphical settings has been a challenge as there are many small visual elements that had to be grouped together. We are still optimistic that the game will run at the best visual quality on the lowest end of devices but it had to be made sure. There has also been work implementing the 'Tropics Update' from the original into the sequel with built upon ideas and a more fitting place in the game world and progression. While speaking of progression the game will be far from linear but will have an ideal path to go down but that will have to be discovered through trial and error making the length of the games as long as you make it. A major revelation is that the game will be coming to steam there is no doubt about that however if this will be at launch or later on with the android release is undecided. The price is still undecided but is not likely to be free which can be disheartening for some but if this is the case there will be a free  demo on itch.io shortly before full release if the decision is made to move away from the free to play nature of our previous projects. However it has been decided if it is no longer free to play it will cost no more than £5. The release is still aimed for  January - February 2026 the exact release date will be revealed once we are confident we can release a quality product for that day.
